Punjab Schools Remain Closed After Floods

Floods have forced school closures in several districts of Punjab. While most schools are expected to reopen on September 1, damaged buildings and flood relief operations have caused extensions in key areas.

In Sialkot, all government and private schools are to stay closed until September 5 due to heavy flood damage. In Chiniot, 88 schools have been declared unsafe. Meanwhile, in Lahore, 45 schools are still being used to shelter flood victims.

The government says student safety is the top priority, and schools will reopen only after they are safe and functional.
